Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SMAIZ INNOVATIONS LTD ("Smaiz", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit smaiz.dev or contact us about our services.

Our own products, LALASS, Little Fluent and BigFluent, are also operated by SMAIZ INNOVATIONS LTD. Each product has its own privacy policy on its website, which applies when you use that product.

1. Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

• Chat form: the type of project you select, your name, your email address and the message you write about your project.
• "Let's talk" form: your email address.
• Direct contact: anything you include when you email or call us.

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or tracking pixels. When you load the site, your browser connects to Google Fonts and the jsDelivr content network to download fonts and scripts. Those providers may receive your IP address and browser details as part of that connection.

2. How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project.
• To prepare proposals, quotes and agreements you ask for.
• To deliver and support the services you engage us for.
• To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Legal basis

We process your information with your consent (when you submit a form), to take steps you request before entering a contract, to perform a contract with you, and to comply with legal obligations, in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana.

4. Who we share it with

• EmailJS, which delivers the messages you send through the forms on this site to our inbox.
• Our email and hosting providers, which store our communications and run this website.
• Authorities, where the law requires us to disclose information.

These providers may process data outside Ghana. Where they do, we rely on providers that apply appropriate security safeguards.

5. Client project data

When we build software for a client, any personal data inside that project is handled under our agreement with that client. We process it only on the client's instructions and for the purpose of the project.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we enter into a contract, in which case we keep records for as long as the law requires (for example, for tax and accounting purposes).

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable service providers to protect your information. No online system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a problem occurs.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
• stop contacting you.

Email hello@smaiz.dev and we will respond within 21 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.

9. Children

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through smaiz.dev. Our children's product, Little Fluent, has its own privacy policy that covers how it handles children's and parents' information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
